saving the coordinates for huge trajectory file

Hi all,
        I have a dcd file of 10000 frames. I tried to save the trajectories in PDB format using VMD but it writes only 1000 frames.I don't know whether anything wrong with my way or is there any criteria that VMD can handle only limited number of frames? Can anyone please help me to sort this out?
