I have gotten hold of a libstdc++.so.5 library off a compatible linux machine. Here is
the next error in the installation procedure.
bgc 104% namd2
namd2: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.3' not found (required by namd2)
namd2: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.3' not found (required by /home/jstern/lib/libstdc++.so.5)
I next tried to install: glibc-2.3.5-10.i686.rpm to get hold of the GLIBC_2.3 that it is
looking for.
Now my errors are:
bgc 91% rpm -dbpath /home/jstern/glibrpm -ivh glibc-2.3.5-10.i686.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
glibc-common = 2.3.5-10 is needed by glibc-2.3.5-10
basesystem is needed by glibc-2.3.5-10
libgcc is needed by glibc-2.3.5-10
rpmlib(PartialHardlinkSets) <= 4.0.4-1 is needed by glibc-2.3.5-10
What am I doing wrong? What should I do?
Thanks.
