atomlist command in matdcd

Hi all
        i was using matdcd and in matdcd there is command

*"xyz2 = readdcd('/home/justin/alanin.dcd', atomlist);"*
and for atomlist *"atomlist = [1 2 43 5 ]"*
what these number stand for? do i need to write atom number (to my
understanding, it is second column of pdb file) or is this something else?
