NAMD 2.6b1 error writing DCD file on Cray XT3

Hi,

I ran a short 100 step job to test NAMD on the PSC Cray XT3. When it
tries to write a dcd file at the end it goves this error:

FATAL ERROR: Couldn't open DCD file
/lustre/blood/nbar_dops.10x2/44583.d9/nbar_dops.10x2.d9.dcd: File exists

This was all done in a directory that was originally empty: the file
didn't exist until NAMD created it.
Has anyone seen this error before or have an idea what is going on?
