Hi,

You can open the tkcon window and use the cd command to change directory.
For directory names that contain spaces, I suspect you will need to precede
each space with a backslash. I think you can also enclose them in braces.
You should delimit directory names with foreslashes, as in UNIX/Linux. The
tkcon window has an automatic completion feature (you type the first few
letters of what you want to type and hit tab to see if the computer can
guess what you want). It will increase your efficiency.

I expect you will get better responses to this type of question by posting
to VMD-L instead of NAMD-L.

Subject: namd-l: changing default directory in VMD?

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know how to change the default directory in VMD? I am opening
and closing a bunch of files all in the same directory. I'm on a windows
box.

Many thanks,

Sam
