initial translation of the system

Hello:

I had a concern regarding the translation of my system. initially when
velocities are assigned by NAMD w.r.t a given temperature specified by
me.. does NAMD make the momentum zero?

I have turned off wrapping

I see (in VMD when i load DCD files) that initially there is a translation
movement of the system (so i need to translate the system to see it in
the window) and then the movement subsides, and there is just the
fluctuation of the system. I don't understand it very well..
