Stimulated by the benchmarks at
http://www.nvidia.com/object/namd_on_tesla.html, I am wondering
whether it would be possible (and worth while) to modify single-node
UMA-type mainboards for TESLA . Specifically a Supermicro H8QCE (4
dual-core opterons 875, 24GB RAM, 1000W power source) and a Tyan S2895
(two dual-core opterons 265, 8GB RAM, 600W power source). Of course in
view of NAMD simulations.
Thanks for encouraging (possibly with references) of killing a bad idea.
